Let’s give a warm welcome to our awesome account team! Composed of three client communication pros, our account team is responsible for reviewing content, orchestrating client meetings, overseeing client strategy and staying on top of all things KM&A.
If you need a laugh, Jack’s your guy. Filled to the brim with quippy remarks and clever jokes, Jack is our comedy expert as well as our go-to whenever it comes to anything KM&A. On weekdays you’ll find him delegating tasks between teams, chatting back and forth with our clients and reviewing content, but after work you’ll find Jack with a glass of wine in hand, catching up on all things pop culture. Also, did we mention he dabbles in two different languages? Smarty pants!
“I was drawn to KM&A by the passion of the people that I met while interviewing. The whole team is a wonderful bunch of creative thinkers, and I couldn’t wait to join the squad! From the minute I saw the job posting, I had a feeling that my bold, savvy and connected self would fit right in with KM&A.”
“I am sworn to secrecy for the time being, but I’ve loved getting to do some behind the scenes work on a new collection that Delta Faucet Company will be launching later this year. From interviewing the designer to building out the contents of a captivating event kit, it has been a joy to sail away from the unexpected with this collection.”
“My day always begin with office small talk and a cup of coffee. Then I spend the next several hours popcorning between emails, tasks in our project management software, phone calls and of course, more trips to the coffee machine.”
“I stray strapped with a container of hummus. If a day passes and I have not consumed some hummus, keep me in your prayers.”
“In the past six months at KM&A, I have learned so much about the world of marketing and myself in the process. One of my professional goals is to look for more opportunities to put this fresh knowledge to use by giving back to my alma mater, Butler University.”
Our resident dance queen and proofreading aficionado, Jana, is KM&A’s secret weapon. This Butler University marketing major was made for agency life and is always ready to take on any project or task. When she’s not jamming out to Taylor Swift or sipping on a peppermint mocha—because they taste great year-round—you’ll find Jana assisting with anything and everything account-related, reviewing blogs or coming up with game-changing ideas.
“I loved that KM&A was a small agency local to the Indy area. Growing up as an Indy local, I recognized many of the companies that they completed work for. The marketing for these companies—from funny signage to stellar social posts—were always amazing, so I knew it would be a blast to work for the team behind all those efforts.”
“My favorite client project was this past summer, the Indy VR 10 presented by Dallara! This was my first time getting to be onsite for an event with KM&A. It was fun to see people in the driving simulator and to help organize and execute the event.”
“As you could have guessed, no two days are quite the same. I typically start my morning by writing down a list of what I need to do in order of importance (with a mocha in hand of course). This could be anything from reviewing blogs to creating a client presentation. As a part of the account team, both internal and external meetings take up a big chunk of our day, so it is important to make sure you know all that needs to get completed. And to leave time for lunch with the team on Mass Ave!”
“Berries! Our office always has the best berry combo with blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries. They are perfect for a mid-morning or afternoon snack, and they are so BERRY good (too much?)!”
“Since I am a junior at Butler University (Go Dawgs!), I have a little time before I am truly in the workforce. My goal is to be as prepared and experienced as possible going into my first job. The more experience I have, the more I will be able to offer to my company and clients!”
As the newest addition to our account team, Kaitlyn has been soaking in every moment of her time here at KM&A. When she’s not joining client calls, writing blogs or creating presentations, she’s on the golf course or jamming out to Olivia Rodrigo—we mean, who wouldn’t be? Kaitlyn always shows up with a positive attitude and a hunger to learn, making her our favorite go-getter and idea generator.
“The ‘Team’ page on our website sold me. I knew I wanted to intern for an agency, and KM&A stood out because of the cool and creative people on the team. Everyone seemed so inspiring and fun to be around, and that’s exactly the kind of work environment that I love.”
“My favorite has been working on the grand opening strategy for Big Bear Biscuits. I started out brainstorming ideas with the rest of the team, then I created an actual timeline for the opening and now we’re really getting started on the specific tasks that need to get done. A grand opening for a new restaurant feels like a blank slate, so we’ve been extra creative with our strategy which is so much fun.”
“On a typical day, I’ll start by eating breakfast (obviously) and getting myself organized. I always look through my tasks in our task management system, my emails and my calendar to see what’s going on during the week, and then I’ll start working on the most important tasks. As an account associate, I work on a wide variety of projects that involve conducting research, developing strategies, simplifying processes, creating presentations and more. I also get to sit in on client meetings and visit our clients on-site when I’m in the office, so that’s always a great learning experience.”
“An everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. It’s basic, but never disappoints. And it’s perfect at any time of the day.”
“I graduated from Butler University this past December, so I hope to solidify my post-grad plans! I also want to keep learning now that I’m done with school by working toward different marketing certifications.”
