You can hear her laugh from four blocks away and trust us, she’s always laughing. This pop culture guru and Real Housewives fanatic brings a certain positivity to the office that we couldn’t do without. Ever wonder why her hair is so big? It’s because K. Fole has so many secrets.
What is your role at KM&A?
I am the PR and communications manager. My role involves content creation and media relations for all of our clients.
Before working at KM&A, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
In high school, I was hired by my dad to package airplane parts. Sometimes I had to count over 3,200 penny-sized pieces, package and label them. It was not fun, but it did pay well.
What is the proudest moment in your career?
At my very first job, I was given a client to do a book campaign for. While the book wasn’t interesting, the fact that this 80-year-old gentleman played volleyball three times a week was. So, I pitched the media on being active in your older age and the Wall Street Journal picked it up. I was freaking out!
What is the most challenging part of working in PR?
I would say the most challenging thing is finding relevancy for clients. A lot of people think things are relevant when they aren’t. PR has become an industry that’s not about who you know but rather what is actually newsworthy.
“Associate yourself with people of good quality, for it is better to be alone than in bad company” – Booker T. Washington
Do you have any pets?
Do I have a pet? Is that even a question? I am the proud mommy of an angelic labradoodle, Frankie. She is literally the light of my life and is responsible for over 3,000 pictures on my phone. Follow her: @frankie__foley
How do you define success?
Success to me is finding joy in what’s most important to you and who you surround yourself with. I feel successful for the fact that I have a loving family and a job that I enjoy.
Favorite thing to eat at work?
HA! Malia and I are always going to GreenLeaf and ordering juices. If it’s green, I want it. I also am the first person to ask someone to add a zucchini chocolate chip cookie to their Soupremacy order.
What are three words that best describe you?
Gregarious. Intuitive. Compassionate.
I’m a readaholic and it’s so hard to pick just one book. If I had to, though, I’d pick TWO: Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter and The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah.
What will you do when you get home today?
I’ll walk Frankie, make dinner and then catch up on the Real Housewives or read a book. Sometimes I’ll slip in some of my master’s homework when needed.
Favorite Sports Team?
I’m from Dayton, Ohio – so it’s natural that I support my Dayton Flyers. It’s also natural that I’m a Buckeye Fan. When I started dating my husband eight years ago, I also became a Duke fan. I’m truly all over the place.
What was the best concert you ever attended?
Ever since I was a little girl, I loved two musicians: Céline Dion and Backstreet Boys. I’ve seen Céline and BSB twice and both were wonderful experiences. There’s nothing more surreal than seeing Céline at Caeser’s Palace, though. I think I cried the entire time. I also recently saw BSB with Malia and we were five rows from the stage. I also cried the entire time.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
Most people don’t know that I’m secretly a detective. Swear. If we know each other, I’ve probably looked you up online and on Whitepages. You might think it’s weird, but I have to cover all grounds because after you watch Dateline and read crime books – you have to be cautious of who you surround yourself with. I’ve always said if I could do one thing on the side, I’d be a crime scene detective. **inserts shrug emoji**
