She’s always wearing a blazer and can whip up many delicious cocktails. When Mandi isn’t in the office, you can most likely find her cheering on the Packers or hanging with her corgi, Millie. Read more about why we love this very special (and old) Wisconsinite.
What is your role at KM&A?
I am the director of partnerships and development. The simple answer is that I bridge the gap between account management, growing accounts and business development.
Before working at KM&A, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Earlier in my career, my commute consisted of two ski gondola rides for the restaurant I was managing in Keystone, Colorado.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
It’s the constant act of finding the balance between maintaining current accounts and going out and finding new accounts. I have to make sure I am dedicating the right amount of time to each task.
Bender…or Grandma (Thanks, K. Fole)
How do you define success?
For me, my biggest thing is always being really client-focused and if a client is happy that makes me happy. Sometimes that means going over and beyond for a client, but I enjoy that. At the end of the day, if they’re singing my praises then I know I did something right.
Coffee Drink of choice?
I drink coffee with half & half. It has to be the real dairy and refrigerated kind only, though.
I generally go with the Seared Ahi Salad or the Chilled Vietnamese Noodle Bowl.
What’s your favorite book?
My favorite childhood book was Charlotte’s Web.
Do you have a favorite sports team?
Being born and raised in Wisconsin, I’m a Green Bay Packers and Badgers fan.
What will you do when you get home today?
I’ll definitely get some dog time with Millie. I love to cook for friends and family, so I’ll probably whip up a meal with a cocktail or glass of wine.
What was the best concert you ever attended?
The best concert I’ve attended was Heart at Summerfest in 2001. I don’t know why, but it was absolutely awesome.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I am a damn good bartender. And I used to play roller derby.
We’re super grateful for leaders like Mandi and the fact that she’s always working hard for our clients. Our next employee spotlight captures the person that’s been at KM&A the longest (besides our partners), Malia McGovern.
