Our team has grown! This summer we have welcomed three kick-ass interns – meet Julia Kolligian, Maddy Phipps and Jana Tuttle. Here at KM&A, our interns do more than just sit around and fetch coffee. On any given day, you’ll find Julia writing our newest blogs, Maddy planning and executing events and Jana gathering important information for clients. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish!
Before they continue making some KM&A history, we had a little Q&A for the team. Check it out.
Julia is the newest addition to the communications team. She puts her skills to the test in her position by writing and editing content, supporting internal and external communications and implementing social media strategies. When she’s not at the office, you can find her curled up with a book and her dog by the pool or getting overly competitive watching Jeopardy with her family.
Q: What university or college do you attend?
I go to Elon University. No, we are not affiliated with Elon Musk (I know, how unfortunate for us).
Q: What drew you to KM&A?
I loved that KM&A is a small, tight-knit team and I could totally see myself becoming a part of it.
Q: What has been your favorite part about your internship so far?
Definitely the fact that KM&A has treated me like a valuable team member from my very first day.
Q: What do you hope to gain throughout the rest of your internship?
I want to continue to gain relevant marketing skills that I can take with me back to school.
As the Events Intern, Maddy is Malia’s right-hand woman, and she’s gotten to attend the Indy 500, client meetings and assist with the nitty-gritty of event planning. When she’s not planning incredible events, you can find Maddy blowing off steam at the gym or reading a book while hanging with her cat, Luna.

University of Indianapolis!
Q: What drew you to KM&A?
I was drawn to the fun company culture, the clients and the events they were showcasing.
Q: What has been your favorite part about your internship so far?
I’ve loved the collaborative work environment and positive atmosphere that makes me enjoy coming into the office.
Q: What do you hope to get out of the rest of your internship?
I want to learn more about running events and continue to work with a wide variety of our cool clients.
Our Account Intern, Jana, assists the team in creating important client work and provides daily logistical support. Her time at KM&A has consisted of participating in account meetings, preparing client presentations and attending various client events. Jana isn’t all work and no play – she is a member of the Butler University Dance Team and used to show goats (sounds like a cool job!)

Butler University! (I did choose to go here for more reasons than just the cute mascot.)
Q: What drew you to KM&A?
KM&A has so much personality! I loved the kind, connected community and could tell that KM&A is not just any other agency.
Q: What has been your favorite part about your internship so far?
Similar to Maddy, the fun and inviting company culture has me looking forward to work every day.
Q: What do you hope to get out of the rest of your internship?
I hope to get more of a feel for life at a marketing agency and work with more fun Indy businesses.
