The Methodist Sports Medicine Research & Education Foundation, along with the IHSAA, worked with KM&A to enhance their annual program, The Thomas A. Brady Awards. The Brady Awards is a co-hosted event that recognizes high school athletes that have overcome an injury and are still active in their sport after recovery. The awards also host an auction that financially contributes to the Methodist Sports Medicine Research & Education Foundation.
For 14 years, the Brady Awards was hosted on a Saturday night and at the same venue. Not only did KM&A modify the awards program to be held on a Friday and at a more suitable venue, but we also supported the foundation by creating its brand identity, event logo and updated promotional deliverables. Additionally, our team attended monthly board meetings to understand the overall goals and ensure event success. By collaborating, we were able to implement a more efficient silent auction experience, help solicit all auction items and execute a comprehensive media relations strategy.
Our PR team shared notable announcements with media to secure pre-event coverage and prepare media contacts for at-event opportunities. On-site, we were available to arrange interviews with guest speakers, select honorees and foundation board members.
The Methodist Sports Medicine Research and Foundation’s team was extremely pleased with the program and because of the success, chose to keep the Brady Awards on a Friday, which was never done before, and at the new venue for 2020. All guest feedback was positive and complimented its success, programming and details.
